Mrs. Frances Horner of
Fairfax has been promoted to management assistant with the engineering department of the Chesapeake & Potomac Telephone Company of Arlington. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Tharp of Castleton and is the wife of Lawrence Horner.
Textbooks for high school students will be available for purchase at the high school from August 30 through September 7.
