Musical concert
The Hoppers, The Easter Brothers and The Singing Americans will present a musical concert on Friday, August 29 at 7 p.m. at the Fauquier High School. Auction items needed
The Chester Gap Volunteer Fire Department will hold their auction Friday, September 12 at 7:00 p.m. at the Chester Gap fire hall. They are still in need of auction items, anyone wishing to donate items please call 635-4673 or 636-2627.
Courses offered at CCLC
Lord Fairfax Community College will be offering three evening courses this fall at The Child Care and Learning Center in Washington. The courses are Introduction to Interior Decorating, which meets on Tuesdays from 6:30-9:30 p.m.; Introductory Spanish, which meets on Tuesdays from 6:30-9:30 p.m.; and Homesteading, which meets on Mondays from 6:30-9:30 p.m.

Roast beef dinner
Hopewell United Methodist Church in Lignum will have a roast beef dinner on Saturday, September 6 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Cost will be adults $5.00 and children 12 and under $2.50, carrv out dinners will be available. Door prizes will be give- away. Proceeds will benefit the building fund.
Homemakers craft show
The Extension Homemakers Council have announced their 15th annual craft sale which will be held at the Agricultural Enterprises Grounds, Culpeper Saturday, October 4 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Chairmen this year are Margaret Crego, Louise Hitt, Gloria Tudor and Thelma Bouquest. 'Die ladies stated that space is on a first come basis and is limited inside the Homemakers Building, but, there is ample space outside right next to the food tent.
