petitioned a bankruptcy court in Florida to appoint a trustee to take control of the account, as well as the corporation’s other assets.
The Office of the Attorney General of Florida then sought to have the money in the account distributed among the ticket purchasers, and the court recently set aside $240,000 for that purpose.
“People purchased these travel passes in good faith, and none of them got value for their money,” Ms. Terry said. “I’m delighted that the court saw fit to make these refunds to the people who were harmed.”
