There were 19 judges “who were pre-eminent in the catalogue field, to judge the winners,” Mr. Swindler said. The entries were judged on the basis of artwork, cover concept and design, word copy, merchandising concept, customer service policies, and mechanics (ease of reading).
Mr. Swindler said that Country Manor’s catalogue this year will be the biggest yet. This is the sixth major catalogue that the store has issued. Country Manor will print 300,000 copies, up from 175,000 last year. Mr. Swindler added that the catalogue will feature eight pages of color and 32 pages of line drawings, “the most ever”. “We’re looking for a good year,” Mr. Swindler concluded.
