The council then approved the comprehensive plan as amended by a vote of four to two. Mr. Morehouse, Mr. Fisher, Mrs. Willis and Mrs. Clater voted to approve. Mr. Skowronski and Mrs. Thomasson voted against the motion.
The council, after spirited discussion, voted to change the minimum lot size in rural residential areas to 1.5 acres (reduced from the 1.8 acre size recommended by the planning commission).
The council also discussed the possibility of including Mr. Critzer’s lot as a commercial zone in the final zoning map to be adopted along with the ordinance. Doug Baumgardner, Mr. Critzer’s attorney, argued that
