and Jean Lillard, Flint Hill, representatives from Rappahannock County, attended the Twelfth Leadership Training Camp for 4-H members held August 17th-20th at Camp Farrar, Virginia Beach. The Rappahannock Farm Bureau sponsored the trip, a most interesting and educational activity.
Miss Virginia Lee Smith, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Lee Smith of Spring House Farm, Washington will be a student at Virginia Intermont College, Bristol, Va. this fall. Virginia Intermont will begin its seventy-seventh session with a capacity enrollment.
The PTA of Sperryville Elementary School will meet Tuesday night, September 5 at 7:30 p.m. at the school. According to Mrs. Mary B. Quaintance, principal of the school a film entitled “The Influential American,” will be shown. This movie deals with the new methods of teaching, including T.V. teaching and team teaching.
