Constance R. Kincheloe, a member of the State Highway and Transportation Board for two years, has been reappointed by Gov. Gerald L Baliles for a four-year term.
Kincheloe, a Culpeper resident active on political and civic committees, represents the Culpeper district on the 12-member board. She was appointed in 1984 to fill the unexpired term of Joseph M. Guiffre, who had been named to represent the newly created Northern Virginia district.
Kincheloe serves as chairman of the board’s permit committee and is a member of the subdivision standards and sign committees.
Included in the duties of the State Highway and Transportation Board are establishing locations for routes in the state highway system, naming highways, making rules and regulations concerning traffic on state highways, and approving the award of contracts for state highway and bridge construction, improvement and maintenance work.
