Polly (Jean) Sowers
Polly Anna “Jean” Sowers of Mt. Rainier, Md., died August 13.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Sowers and children, Fay McGee, Deborah Bittner, Linda Bradford, Donald F. Sowers, Jr., Gordon W. Sowers, Richard Sowers and Cathy F. Sowers.
Additional survivors include two brothers, Carson Jenkins of Florida and John B. Jenkins of Culpeper; six sisters, Ruth Pierce and Florene Jenkins, both of Culpeper, Rachel Ford of Brightwood, Frances Broyles of Leon, Betty Newman of Haywood and Golden Kennedy of Slate Mills; and 10 grandchildren.
A memorial service was held at First Baptist Church of Mt. Rainier, Md., on August 15.

Charles Henry Freeman, 42, of Washington, died Sunday, August 17 in the Fauquier Hospital, Warrenton. Mr. Freeman was a construction worker. He was a native of Rappahannock County.
