Cynthia Jean Dodson of Amissville, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Billy Dodson of Sperryville was married to Kenneth Brian McGhee of Amissville on June 17 at 4 p.m. His parents are Retired Sgt. 1st Class and Mrs. Frank R. McGhee Jr., also of Amissville.
The ceremony was performed at the home of the groom’s parents in a gazebo built by the groom. The Rev. Thomas Everett of Amissville Baptist Church officiated.
Music was provided by Pat McDonnell on acoustic guitar.
The bride, given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, wore a white satin gown with chiffli lace ruffles on the sleeves and hemline. The bodice had a peek-aboo neckline and high collar. The antebellum waistline was trimmed in embroidery and fell to a cathedral train accented with satin bows. She carried a cascading bouquet of sonia roses, white carnations and ivy.
The matron of honor was April Keys of Nokesville. She wore a peach satin tea-length dress accented with lace like that on the bridal gown.
Serving as bridesmaids were Genia Planck of Gaithersburg, Md., Vickie Dishner of Hume and Cindy Settle of Culpeper and Pam Clater of Sperryville. They wore tea-length cotton prints of peach, aqua and
