One of the favorite camp activities was “Save Our Streams,” a program originated and promoted by the Izaak Walton League. The campers took a large net and stirred up the bottom of the stream bed. Then they retrieved the net and observed the creatures they had captured. “You can classify the quality of the water by the things you find living in it. We found helgamites, stoneflies, mayflies, and dragon fly larvas," said Jason Parry.
