A special feature of the worship service is the use of an original pump organ borrowed from Oak Shades in Culpeper. “We are going to sing old hymns played on an old organ,” Mrs. Chandler said.
After the worship service, a luncheon will be held on the grounds, weather permitting. Guests are invited to inspect the nostalgic remnants of the past, donated articles of yesterday’s Amissville United Methodist Church, on display in the vestibule.
“We just want everyone to come and have a great time,” Mrs. Chandler said, adding “we just hope it does not rain.”
