Joyce walker ot Arlington and Doug Walker of Rome, Ga. spent last week with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Moe Walker. Saturday visitors were members of the Sweet Adelines group of Arlington, Anne Cleverly, Magen Cleverly, Lois Reingruber, Sharon Belanger, Dorothy Lee Reingruber and Paula Giffey. Sunday visitors of the Walkers were Mr. and Mrs. Clem Hively of Xenia, Ohio.
Mr. and Mrs. Mark Werner and Joshua of Ft. Lee have returned home after spending a few days with the latter’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Grady Vest.
Friday dinner guests of Sallie Lillard were Odell Lewis and Elza Hupman of Bentonville, Geneva Cubbage of Stanley and Betty Lamb of Harrisonburg. Betty Lamb and Geneva Cubbage remained for the weekend.
Mr. and Mrs. Russell Nicholson and Shane of Cedarville were Saturday overnight guests of Mr. and Mrs. Grady Vest. Also visiting the Vesta on Saturday were Mr. and Mrs. Lee Lamb of Virginia Beach.
Dinner guests in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hickerson on Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Lillard and Dayna of Springfield and Mrs. Frances Hudson. Mrs. Hickerson was celebrating her birthday. Sunday evening visitors were Mr. and Mrs. Dan Hickerson of Amissville.
Ronnie Lillard of Warrenton was a Friday visitor of the Charles Hickersons.
Mr. and Mrs. A.O. Smoot were honored with a 50th wedding' anniversary party at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Bywaters on Saturday. There were approximately 18 present with all the Smoot’s children present for the event. They received many nice gifts.
