Though service times and locations have changed through the years, the church itself remains the same. Inside, the darkended kerosene lamps and chandelier add atmosphere and give a hint of what the church was like in times forgotten. “We removed the old woodstoves when we put in the furnace,” Mrs. Chandler said, noting the time as 1957. Remembering back to her early days as a church member she said even though there was no furnace, the church was always warm on Sunday morning.

“I onced asked Gramham Hackley who lit the stoves on those cold morning,” she said wondering if there was a steward that should be recognized. “He laughed and said whoever got there first,” she laughed.
