At the same meeting, the County also represented that this” project could be completed for $150,000. If the County can build and equip this facility for $150,000, I will pay to the County double my real estate tax bill for the year of its completion. I wonder if the supervisors are confident enough of their budget figures to make the same offer if the County cannnot meet that target.
If the County officials, like the Pentagon, are going to have a massive cost overrun, they should admit it now. They should also admit, in light of Mr. Godwin’s letter, that the principal justification for this project no longer exists. That would save the taxpayers some of their hard earned money in this year of record tax increases.
