WEAVER Extension Service Coordinator The end of the growing season is comipg and one should be planning not only for winter storage of the harvest, but also how to deal with ■ tools and left over materials. These ! include seed, fertilizers, imple! ments, stakes, containers and pesti1 cides. Fertilizers are often stored year ! after year with little fear of prob; lems. However, to be stored safely, they should be kept locked in a cool, but not freezing, dry place out of reach of others. Fertilizer safety is often under-estimated since many fertilizers can be a fire and explosion hazard and are poisonous. As with any chemical, read the label for indis vidual storage requirements.
