Earlier this year, Trooper Facchina was also honored as the Outstanding Young State Law Enforcement Officer for 1990 by the Sterling Jaycees, and was recognized by the Ruritan Club as well.
Trooper Facchina is a Rappahannock County native who grew up in Amissville. He served as a deputy with the Rappahannock County Sheriffs Department, and is presently assigned by the Virginia State Police to Loudoun County.
His wife, Marion, is the public health nurse with the Rappahannock County Health Department.
