Sandra Speiden, an avocational archeologist, will speak at the fall meeting of the Rappahannock County-Historical Society, set for Sunday, Nov. 4 at 3 p.m. at the courthouse.
For the past several years, Mrs. .Speiden has been involved in efforts to perserve prehistoric Paleoindian archeological sites in Virginia. The sites have been dated and are believed to be approximately 11,000 years old.
Mrs. Speiden and her husband, Bill, operate Hampstead Farm Inc., a dairy farm in eastern Orange County. The farm has been designated Hampstead Farm Archeological District, and is on the National Register of Historic Places and is a Virgina Historic Landmark. Forty
