Nicholas paintings exhibited The Middle Street Gallery exhibition for November is a one-woman show by member artist Lynette Nicholas titled “Light Transitions." That is Ms. Nicholas's term for a particular style of playing opposite and complementary colors to enhance the light quality they possess. Using natural settings like sunrises, sunsets and moonlight, she blends colors within her landscapes so they pick up light within a room and scintillate with it. The first of her series of "Dream Mandelas" will also be shown in the exhibition. An opening reception will be held on Saturday, Nov. 3 at the gallery from 5-9 p.m. Gallery hours are Friday through Sunday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., or by appointment. Call (703) 6753649 for information.
