Make plans now to vote on Tuesday, Nov. 6.
You are urged to return Congressman D. French Slaughter Jr. to Congress. We desperately need his continued effectiveness, expertise, and dedication if we are ever to get the budget deficit under control, reduce spending, eliminate waste, and be able to negotiate from a position of strength.
True, he is but one vote in a Democratically-controlled Congress, which has for years allowed spending to go unchecked, creating the chaos in which we find ourselves today; however, Congressman Slaughter can always be counted on to thoroughly evaluate a proposed bill before casting his vote.
Congressman Slaughter has always made himself available to constituents throughout the Seventh District through personal contact, as well as monthly meetings held by one of his representatives. I don’t know how he could be more accessible.
Unfortunately, Congressman Slaughter has not been afforded the luxury of doing much campaigning,
