The Planning Commission granted approval to three applicants last Wednesday, but only after Melvin K. Helmick withdrew his request to operate an auction house in the first floor of the old woolen mill at Laurel Mills. His application still is for multi-family housing, in four apartments, on the second floor.
Mr. Helmick had requested a combination of apartments on the second floor and commercial use on the first floor.
He said he had two choices for what to do with the old building, which he said, is actually the fourth mill to be in that location. He could tear it down and he would have about
