Why is it that whenever someone proposes to do something significant in Rappahannock County, the knee-jerk reaction of the neighbors is to band together to say “no”?
Melvin K. Helmick bought the old Laurel Mills Woolen Mill with the idea of doing something with it. It is a tumbling ruin, but the old brick walls show that was once a significant enterprise.
