Brothers, Eddie and Chris Sause continued to run together, as they have all season long. Eddie, a senior, used a strong kick to finish in third overall (17:43). Chris, who is only a freshman and is poised to become the team’s best runner next year, finished fourth overall (17:51).
Jennings Hobson ran his finest race of the year and placed sixth overall (18:24). Mike Wolfe (18:54) and Chris Dennis (18:55) came in eleventh and twelfth place respectively.
Caleb Proper, Chad Heddleston, Jesse Rogers, and Niles Watson were the other Panthers who finished the course in under twenty minutes.
The first home meet of the year was scheduled for this Wednesday. Rappahannock hosted Strasburg, Brentsville, Clarke County, and Page County.
Head Coach Dave van de Graaff is extremely excited about his teams' chances at home this year and the condition of the home course. He said the course, which is one of the nicest in the state, and will host the district tournament this year, is in the best condition it has been in since he's been here.
