The planners voted unanimously to recommend approval for the project for the apartments only. They specified Mr. Helmick will have to get final approval for his site plan.
With less discussion the planners also recommended to the Board of Zoning Appeals that they approve a special use permit for John G. Cahill to operate a gift shop in the old Bowser Williams store near Huntly.
This is the last application for such a shop in an agricultural zone the planners will consider, since the Zoning Ordinance was amended to remove antique/gift shops in agricultural zones.
