Several doctors and nurses from the NationaL Institutes of Health stay at camp §11, week and make “med-check” a normal part of the daily routine. The rest of the staff is made up of 4-H leaders and youth and other generous volunteers.
The beautiful Center is nestled amidst the picturesque Blue Ridge, mountains in historic Shenandoah . Valley. The scenery will be breathtaking during the festival as the leaves will be in peak color. It is the perfect site for the Blue Ridge Heritage Wine Festival.
The festival will take place from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Oct. 14 and 15 rain or shine. The festival features 14 Blue Ridge wineries pouring over 100 wines, great food from restaurants around the Blue Ridge area, sampling from Virginia’s finest gourmet fopds, shopping from 35 Blue Ridge aijists, three stages of live bluegrass, folk, rock and blues and wine seminarsv Bring the kids! They can enjoy hay, rides, pony rides, face painting, apple bobbing, grape stomping and story.telling. Then they can pick t^eir favorite jack-o-lantern from the. pumpkin patch and join in. the, Halloween Costume Contest.
