“Crowfield,” the lovely farm home of Carroll and Charles Kevis, is located is a picturesque valley, at the base of Bessie Bell Mountain on Scrabble Road in the Castleton area of Rappahannock County.

It is one of the four homes the public will see during the 39th Annual Rappahannock County House Tour and Dried Flower Sale scheduled for the weekend of Oct. 22-23. The event is sponsored each year by the Episcopal Churchwomen of Trinity Church, Washington.

Originally Crowfield was a modest house in need or repair. The Revises, using their Connecticut Yankee ingenuity and artistry, transformed the house into an attractive, comfortable and modem home, that maintains all of its original farm house charm. As one observer has said, “We marvel at the ability of newcomers into our county to look at a place, and envision what it could be ” The local architectural firm of Monroe and Crocker carried out the design and extensive landscaping,
