Family and personal reasoq? dictate that I must resign my post as Treasurer for the Town of Washington. Effective Oct. 1, f9$5,-I will vacate this position. I have offered the mayor and members of the Town Council my assistance' in any way possible until my departure Thereafter, I will be available by telephone or mail. '•'
I regret the necessity for my departure out-of-state and the brevity of my term as Treasurer. I have been proud to provide public service for the good people of Washington. These last months have been a very interesting period for the town and for me personally. I hope the citizens of the Town of Washington and Rappahannock County will continue to support Mayor Willis and the Town Council in their endeavors tq assure that Washington continues to be the wonderful place it is to live, work and raise a family. 1 wish to thank all of you who voted for me. It is with a sad heart that I leave the town and this beautiful county. 1 will not soon forget the bonds to this pldce and to these people.
