The Ragged Mountain Resource Center has organized a fall hiking scheduled which will begin Sept. 30 and conclude on Nov. 26.
Hikes are open to all ages (though children 12 years or younger must be accompanied by an adult) and usually last between three-six hours.
Participants should being adequate food and clothing for themselves, and car pooling is suggested. There is no charge for these hikes, but donations are welcome and will go toward future programs, advertising, and so forth.
The first hike is this Saturday, Sept. 30 and the destination is White Oak Canyon. Hikers should meet at the Rappahannock County Park between 8-8:30 a.m. or at the White Oak lower parking area between 99:30 a.m. (follow signs on 231 South and turn at Etlan). T le hike will begin
