-Responding to Mr. Jones’s complaint, Deputy Compton visited Mr. Jordan’s house on May 18. She said there were five other people there and she told them all to stay away from Mr. Jones’s house. They informed her, she said, that Mr. Jones was upset because he was no longer allowed to be around them any more.
In a later call to the dispatcher at the Sheriffs Office on May 18, Mr. Jones said that when he drove with his wife and daughter past Mr. Jordan’s house to the store, someone sitting out on the porch gave him the finger. He told the dispatcher, “I whipped somebody’s ass with a gun so I’ll take the punches.”
Mr. Jones complained to the dispatcher that “If you all would do your job to start with...this wouldn’t happen.” The dispatcher asked if Mr. Jones wanted Deputy Compton to come down, and he told her “You just le|l her he politely got his ass
