Most heard of the disasters caused by the flooding in North West area of Virginia this year, but few have heard of the kind hearted businesses that provided a very necessary gift to a local Volunteer Fire and Rescue company in Rappahannock County.
In a little town called Washington, known for the fine restaurant and apple trees dwells a volunteer fire department that received a gracious present of a heating and air conditioning system from businesses both in Fairfax and in Warrenton. The Washington Volunteer Fire Department, which I have been a member of since last year, was in need of a HVAC system for its fire hall. This seemed quite a big need. The fire hall has the largest enclosed open area for renting out to the public in the area of Washington.
As an instructor of the National Electric Code, I have made many friendships in the area with other tradespeople and began my quest with some of these. Mark Campbell, with Superior Service, a HVAC Contractor in Warrenton, provided the HVAC Gas unit and the central air conditioner and the labor to install these as well as the ducting which was provided by Fairfax’s own Lee Hit Sheet Metal, Todd Peal owner.
