not sign-off on the funding bill that reached compromise last week in Richmond, the 1999-2000 Rappahannock school budget will be forwarded, unchanged, for comment at the public hearing scheduled for March 30, 1999 at 7:30 in the RCES library. Following the public hearing, the school board will meet in executive session to vote on the budget, and to pass it to the Board of Supervisors, as legally required, by April 1, 1999.

During the communications and public comment portion of the meeting, school board member Rosa Crocker sought and received board support for school participation in seeking sponsorships for the 21st Annual Fodderstack Race, to be held April 24. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Rappahannock Recreational Facilities Authority and the RCHS running clubs and track and field fund.
