For individuals who want to play a role in pollination but don’t want to be beekeepers, Harman recommends seeking out local beekeepers who may want to put a hive on your property, or otherwise engage in small-scale pollination. Gardeners should also be more discriminate about pesticide usage, Harman added, and look into methods of integrated pest management.
