Terry Russell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Emory Russell of Flint Hill received a “Superior Rating” award for his essay entered in the Future Business Leaders of America contest, awarded at the Madison Regional meeting at Madison College 6n March 22. Russell’s topic was “The Business Executive.” Stokes Clothing in Front Royal was advertising clothes for the entire family for Easter. Featured items: Girls dresses, $1.95 and up; boy’s two-piece suits $5.75 and a large selection of ladies’ handbags.

The play “Winnie the Pooh” will be presented by The Country Players Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at the Rappahannock County Elementary School. The Country Players is a dramatic group sponsored by the Rappahannock Education * Association. Its members include teachers and teachers’ aide in the Rappahannock schools. The Rappahannock County Woman’s Club held its monthly meeting Feb. 26 at the hoipe of Mrs. Thomas B. Massie of Washington.
