Congratulations to John R. Eastham Jr. and Patti Herning of Culpeper, who were wed at the Washington Baptist Church on Saturday evening.
A group from Washington Baptist Church and Rev. Phil Bailey didn’t make it to Philipsburg, Pa. last Saturday to complete work on transforming a Jewish Synagogue into a Baptist Church. The group had the misfortune to encounter snowy roads and got involved in a wreck which was no fault of theirs. Jack Preston’s truck sustained the damage and it was a blessing that no one was injured.
The Lenten services will continue on Wednesday evening with potluck at 6:15 p.m. and worship services at 7 p.m. at the Trinity Episcopal Church. The speaker is Jon Heddleston.
On Monday Mrs. D.C. welling of Fairfax Station was a guest of her mother, Mrs. Jean B. Moffett. They visited Mrs. Moffett’s brother, Edward Nelson Buxton at the President’s Madison Inn in Orange.
Billy Moffett of James Madison University in Harrisonburg spent Thursday with his grandmother, Mrs. Jean B. Moffett.
