Second annual garden sale set

The Trinity Church Garden Guild in Washington is sponsoring its second annual “Great Spring Garden Sale” on Saturday, April 24 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., rain or shine, under the big tent opposite the church. Proceeds will benefit a stunning new garden on the Middle Street side of the church, opposite The Inn at Little Washington. The finest local vendors will once again offer beautiful rare trees and shrubs, Virginia native plants, Japanese maples, rhododendrons, reblooming iris, azaleas, herbs, annuals and perennials.

Tomas Fernandez will display recent examples of garden sculpture, Scott McBride will sell and sign his just-out book Landscaping with Wood, and Merrill Strange will offer cachepots made especially for the sale. Come by and beautify.

Benefit dance scheduled

The Rappahannock Farmers’Association will sponsor a Agricultural Scholarship Fund Dance with St. Thomcatz Big Band at Fauquier Spring Country Club on Friday, April 16 from 8 to 11 p.m. Cost is $25 per couple, cash bar and hors d’oeuvres will be served. Festival set in Culpeper

The Culpeper Ruritan Club will be sponsoring “Culpeper Day” on Saturday, May 1 on Davis Street in downtown Culpeper from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The festival will take place rain or shipe.
