Lois Markee, 4-5 team leader, reported on her team’s use of the seven ‘effective schools research’ tenets: establishing a mission of “learning by all”; providing a safe and orderly environment for students; creating a clear school mission through long-range development; sharing resources to assure the effective use of budgeted funds; providing instructional leadership; engaging in frequent monitoring of progress: and providing effective homeschool relationships.
