One of Virginia’s oldest continuous daffodil shows, this unique rite of spring is seldom seen today — from its Virginia tradition and hospitality to exhibitions of high tech hybrids and floral designs. The show began 36 years ago ip members’ homes and plantations. It has since earned American Daffodil Society accreditation of its horticulture competition, attracting exhibitors from the tri-state area and beyond. Seasoned pros and hopeful newcomers are seen jotting down notes and arranging bulb exchanges.
This 1999 show presents an exciting array of the latest hybrids in ADSaccredited competition and five artistic/inter-club classes. All amateur growers are invited to exhibit.
The public is welcome! Admission is free/voluntary donation. Entries are received Monday, April 12, 2-5 p.m. and Tuesday, April 13, 8-10:30 a.m. Convenient parking is available.
