“I’ve got to go home!”

Home for Mary was Springfield, Va. But Springfield had changed a lot since Mary’s childhood.

Referring to the traffic congestion, endless housing developments and shopping centers, Mary professed, “people are not meant to live like this!”

Glen interjected, “we are looking, primarily, for a quality of life — where you can walk into a general store and people recognize you.”

The Hoffherrs had friends in Leesburg who introduced them to Rappahannock County. Glen and Mary teamed with Lynn Stone of REMAX to find their dream home. And even though Glen has to commute to the city frequently, “when I see the mountains, all the worry and care and stress is gone.”

Mary expounded, “there are no street lights. It’s so nice to sit on your back porch and see the stars... things seem to be old-fashioned down here, but some things never go out of style.”

The Hoffherrs have finally settled down.
