Rescue Auxiliary plans event
The Sperryville Volunteer Rescue Squad Auxiliary announces the first swap/trade or sell event scheduled for March 27 at the Rescue Squad Building on Main Street, Sperryville.
“Looking for that special party dress, Easter outfit, prom dress or perhaps the Miss Rappahannock pageant gown, well your dilemma could be solved in just one afternoon, without leaving the county,” said an organizer. For more information call Nancy at 987-8495 or Betty at 987-7256.
Dance at Amissville
A dance sponsored by the Amissville Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company will be held March 20 at the fire hall. Music will be by Cool Water Express. Proper dress is required, no holes in jeans and shirts must have collars.
Easter breakfast scheduled
The Washington Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department will sponsor a breakfast and Easter egg hunt on Saturday, April 3 from 8 to 11 a m. The egg hunt will begin at 11:15 a.m.
Breakfast items will include scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, gravy, biscuits, pancakes, potatoes and muffins. For more information call Thora Pullen at 987-9339.
Auxiliary plans egg hunt
The Sperryville Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary will sponsor their second annual Easter egg hunt on Saturday, April 3 from 12:30 to 3 p.m. The event will not only include an egg hunt with the Easter bunny but pictures with her, face painting, balloons, story telling, prizes, snack and fun activities for all. April Kite Fly slated
The Ben Venue Kite Festival, Inc. and the Piedmont Environmental Council invite you to this year’s Earth Day Kite Fly on Saturday, April 17 from noon until 4 p.m. Rain date is April 18. Admission is $2 per person, children under five, free. For information call 675-3444.
Epiphany 5K run planned
The second annual Epiphany 5K Run and Fun Walk will be held on Saturday, March 27 beginning at 9 a m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall (formerly Pot and Kettle Club) near Culpeper. The run is hosted by the Epiphany Catholic School PTO. For information call 829-0965.
Make up days announced
The Rappahannock County Public Schools will use March 29, 30, 31 and April 1 as regular school days to make up for days missed due to weather conditions.
Beekeepers to meet
