Holiday closings
All county government offices will be closed on Thursday and Friday, Nov. 25 and 26 for the Thanksgiving holiday. They will also close on Wednesday at noon. The Rappahannock Library will be closed both days. The Rappahannock News will close on Thursday, Nov. 25 but will resume regular business hours on Friday.

The 1999 Rappahannock ■ County tax bills have been mailed *and must be paid on or before ;Dec. 5, to avoid a penalty. Since the Dec. 5 deadline falls on a Sunday in 1999, taxes will be accepted as timely if paid or postmarked by Monday, Dec. 6, ' T999.
