For items going to Africa, Air letters, cards, and Parcel Post must be mailed by Dec. 2. Oct. 25 was the last day for surface shipment.
Items bound for Asia and the Pacific Rim countries, including Australia and New Zealand, need to go by Dec. 9 for Air letters, cards, and Parcel Post; Nov. 5 was the last day for surface mail.
For Canada and Mexico, the critical dates are Dec. 13 and Nov. 26, air and surface, respectively.
lb the Caribbean, mail must go by Dec. 9 for air and Nov. 12 was for surface.
Mail for Central and South America must leave by Dec. 2 for air shipment and Nov. 5 was the last day via surface means.
European air mail must leave by Dec. 9 and surface mail had to have gone by Nov. 12.
Items bound for the Middle East must leave by Dec. 9. Oct. 29 was the last day for surface mail.
