In the interest or fairness, I feel I must respond to Ron

Makela’s comments made in last weeks front-page article. The article was filled with misrepresentations and half-truths.

To begin with my daughter Rebecca Cordani-Stonecipher ran for the position with my full support and encouragement. I have always encouraged my children to strive to achieve their best and to also help their community. It was in this spirit that I recommended her to Ron Frazier and thus Rebecca decided to run for the position of school board representative of our district knowing she had the support of the supervisor.

I find it hard to believe Ron is having such a hard time realizing why he lost the election. It wasn’t the Republican Party or the Right Wing Republican group called the Christian Coalition or Ron Frazier or Jay Katzen or the letter written by Walter Longyear.
