to the public. To be eligible for election to the committee one must file in advance by Dec. 3 with a form available at the County Clerk’s office in Washington. People interested in voting for committee members need to be at the meeting at the courthouse on Saturday, Dec. 4 by noon when the doors will be closed and the meeting held. Participants must declare themselves Democrats, but are only required not to oppose Democratic candidates in the next ensuing election.
Virginians will be going to the National Democratic Convention to select a Democratic Presidential candidate in the coming year. You may want to participate in the delegate selection process too. Think about becoming an active political citizen and attend the Dec. 4 meeting of Democrats.
