“It’s the most wonderful time of the year," someone once sang in reference to the approaching holiday season, which officially begins with the last bite of dessert following tomorrow’s Thanksgiving meal.
But clearly, that was the sentiment of a much earlier, simpler time and before the not-so-wide-Webbed world.
All day Friday, expect the usual back-ups getting into any of the area shopping malls or outlets. Once finally inside, expect the usual sweltering department store temperatures and the equally cranky fellow holiday shoppers. If you plan to shop on-line, hope the rush of e-shoppers doesn’t tie-up modem connections or crash complete computer systems.
