Packaging
tt is recommended that • a strong box be used for packages, preferably a corrugated cardboard box with all flaps intact; • the recommended weight for the box (often found on a bottom flap) not be exceeded; • package contents should be cushioned with shredded or rolled newspaper, Styrofoam ‘‘peanuts’', or even air-popped popcorn; • use tape designed for shipping, three strips on the top and on the bottom; • do nol use paper wrapping, string, masking tape, or cellophane tape; • put delivery and return addresses on one side only; • completely remove all previously used addresses and postage; x • do not place labels across a seam, closure, or on the tape; • put a set of labels on the inside of the box; • stuff fragile items with packing material; and • remove batteries from toys and package them separately in the same box.
