You can imagine that many people are very vocal to me about their opinions on our county schools, especially during the last few weeks.
It is my belief that the people of Rappahannock County want:
1. A School Board that is accountable to the taxpayers,
2. School Board members who treat people with respect even when there are differences of opinions,
3. Schools with high academic standards where children excel at their studies,
4. A cooperative relationship between the School Board and the Board of Supervisors,
5. No more excuses for leaking roofs, low test scores, etc.
It is my opinion that the newly-elected School Board will live up to their responsibilities. It’s a tough job and I appreciate their willingness to serve the people in that capacity. I wish them well.
