Mrs. T.J. Pillar, chairman of the Rappahannock County Garden Club Christmas bazaar scheduled for Dec. 6 worked intently at the club workshop held last Wednesday. Club members brought forth their most creative abilities as they made table, door, mantel and numerous other decorations and articles for the bazaar. Amissville Ruritan Club held a gala Ladies Night last Wednesday with a special dinner honoring the ladies with entertainment and amusement. Gilbert Lawrence served for the past year as president of the Amissville Club. Aviation Fire Control Technician Third Class David E. Palmer, USN, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles B. Palmer of Washington, is serving with Attack Squadron Seventy-five aboard the aircraft carrier USS Saratoga in the Mediterranean. The chorus at Rappahannock County High School will be featured at an assembly this week. Mrs. Betsy Blauvelt is the director and members include: Lynn Whitehurst, Maury Nichols, Karl Burke, Jimmy Orange, Mary Lynn Smelly, Linda Jenkins, Steven Baker, Lincoln Timber, John Norman, Sandra Payne, Tommy Walters, Lois Yates, Joan Dodson, Mary Elizabeth Jenkins, Wanda Williams and Brenda Printz.
