Ron lost to a candidate who did absolutely no campaigning and he failed to mention that a write in candidate got almost as many votes as he did. That is a 2:1 loss. The voters are demanding a change in the way things have been handled in the past. Ron lost all on his own merit.
It should be noted that Rebecca’s children are too young to attend school. Yes, my son is home schooled because of a personal choice we have made. But the school board position does not demand that the person serving have a child in school. We have had very dedicated individuals serve on this board who have not had children presently in the school system. Any taxpayer in this county has a right to voice their concerns and opinions regarding the education of our youth.
