NOTICE OF RAPPAHANNOCK COUNTY
DEMOCRATIC CAUCUS
The Rappahannock County Democratic Committee hereby announces that it will hold an assembled caucus beginning at 12 p.m., noon, on December 4, 1999 in the courtroom of the Rappahannock County Courthouse for the purpose of electing members to the Rappahannock County Democratic Committee. The caucus will elect seven (7) members from each of the five (5) magisterial Districts of Rappahannock County. An additional fifteen (15) at-large members will also be elected.
Any person wishing to seek election as a member of the committee must file with Franklin R. Schmidt, Chair of the Rappahannock County Democratic Committee, 488 Quaintance Road, Woodville, VA 22749 no later than 9 a.m. on Saturday, December 4, 1999 or Diane Bruce, Clerk of the Court, Rappahannock County, no later than 3 p.m., Friday, December 3, 1999.
Filing forms are available at the Clerk of the Court’s Office, or by calling Franklin R. Schmidt at 987-8410, or Kent Reeve, Vice Chair, Rappahannock County Democratic Committee at 987-8944.
There is no charge for those wishing to attend and vote at the caucus.
Doors to the caucus will open at 11:00 a.m. for check-in. Any person attending the caucus, before participating in that caucus, shall sign a standardized Caucus Participation Form stating that he or she is a Democrat, does not intend to support any candidate who is opposed to a democratic nominee in the ensuing general election, believes in the principles of the Democratic Pany, and is a registered voter in such precinct or county or city. Caucus Participation Forms must be filled out at the caucus prior to participating in the caucus. At 12:00 p.m., noon, the doors to the caucus will be closed and no person may complete a form and participate in the caucus after that time with the exception of those persons in line at 12:00 p.m. noon.
