John Glass is one of the familiar faces. Mr. Glass is Returning to RCES from the Loudoun County school system, and will be teaching third grade this year. He has taught both second grade and kindergarten at RCES. He holds a B.S. from Brigham Young University. His wish: “That I had never left. This is a great place to teach.”
Jan Makela is a very familiar face with a new job: she is the new fourth grade teacher. In addition to the time she has spent shepherding the volunteer program in the Rappahannock schools, Mrs. Makela has 15 years in the Virginia Beach school system, teaching second and third grade. She holds a B.S. from Virginia Commonwealth University. Mrs. Makela’s wish is that the “children are successful arid we have a great year together.”
