Dozens of Rappahannock families are checking their households for items to donate to the Democratic Committee yard sale which will be held at the Washington Fire Hall, rain or shine on Saturday of Labor Day weekend, Aug. 31 from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.
A sterling silver creamer and sugar bowl, pairs of skis, tennis rackets, several bona fide works of art, baskets, lamps, picture frames, and musical instruments are among the items collected so far. There will be everything from an antique accordion to kitchen utensils: “collectibles”, costume jewelry, tools, holiday decorations, linens, car stuff, etc.
Items to be donated should be brought to the Washington Fire Hall on Friday, Aug. 30, anytime from noon until 8
